Christmas 2012

We would like to wish all our customers every blessing for Christmas and the coming year, and to thank everyone very much for your support through another year. It's been a pleasure and a joy to serve you as best we can. We have sent Bibles all over the world and only eternity will reveal the results.

In Matthew 1:23 we read,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
God with us ... what a message. When you look at a picture of a manger this Christmas, on a card or a Chrismas ornament, remember that heaven is interested in you. God in heaven loves us individually and His love is a love of action; He sent His son into the world to show that He loves us and is interested in us.
When you go to a furniture shop to buy a bed you can choose ... single, double, queen, or even king size - a be fit for a King. When the One Who had a right to claim the rule of the universe came into the world He chose for His bed a manger.

He came down to earth from heaven,
Who is God and Lord of all,
And His shelter was a stable,
And His cradle was a stall:
With the poor, and mean, and lowly,
Lived on earth our Saviour holy.

If choosing a manger when He came into the world was remarkable, how much beyond our understing is that Christ would choose to die on a cross. In verse 21 we read, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
This was the puropse of Christ's coming into the world, to go to the cross, to suffer for our sins and shed His precious blood so we can be saved, redeemed and brought back to God. If the manger shows the fact of God's love for us and interest in us, Calvary show's the extent of it:
.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Don't forget, among all the shopping, presents, turkey and excited children, above and beyond it all, the God of Eternity, the God of heaven is interested in you and has reached out to you in the person of His Son and wants to save you, to forgive you and to give you everything. But when God gives, He give through Christ. Christ is the key to it all. Do you know Him as your saviour?

Happy Christmas everyone,
The AEB Team.

Book of the Week: Middle East Burning

by Mark Hitchcock.

With nearly 20 Bible prophecy books published, Mark Hitchcock has distinguished himself as a trustworthy and solidly biblical prophecy teacher.

Middle East Burning helps make sense of the bewildering firestorms raging in the Arabic-Israeli world. Widespread revolutions in multiple Arab nations. New powers rising to challenge entrenched despots and ruling bodies. Bitter new conflicts further enflaming the many already in place. And a pall of uncertainty over how it will all play out.

Indeed the Middle East is burning. How can we make sense of it all? At first glance the many hotspots may seem without a pattern, without rhyme or reason. But a look at Scripture helps paint a clear picture of what’s taking place, giving insight on current events in Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Syria, and more.

A riveting and timely survey of things now and things to come!

Book of the Week: 1 & 2 Thessalonians

Pattern for Christian Living.
"This book contains a useful and accurate exegesis, and will be a help to anyone wanting to get a grasp of Paul's two epistles to the assembly at Thessalonica. It is clear that the author spent years studying these epistles and gleaned from them a clear grasp of practical assembly teaching and dispensational prophetic truth. He has stated clearly and without compromise what he learned from God's Word. Like the apostle Paul, he has "kept nothing back that was profitable" (Acts 20:20), and has "not shunned to declare the whole counsel of God" (Acts 20:27). - from the

Born in Belfast in 1924 and saved at age eleven, Thomas Bentley arrived in Malaysia in 1957 to serve the Lord. He contributed extensively in writing to various assembly magazines and authored the commentary on the epistle to the Colossians in the What The Bible Teaches commentary series.
